2026 - New Year, New Releases

2026 - New Year, New Releases

There’s something special about standing at the edge of a new year and looking back at everything that came before it. In tabletop gaming, those moments tend to arrive somewhere between the last dice roll of December and the first ambitious plan scribbled on a notepad in January. As 2026 kicks off, it feels like the perfect time to pause, take a breath, and appreciate just how much ground Pacific Sky Games covered in 2025—because it was one incredible year.

From the very start, 2025 was about momentum. The release of PATROL: WWII set the tone, bringing fast-paced action and small-unit decision-making back to the forefront of historical gaming. It reminded players that sometimes the most gripping stories don’t come from massive armies, but from tense moments, clever movement, and hard choices made under pressure. The response from the community reinforced something we’ve always believed: elegant mechanics and immersive themes never go out of style.

That sense of immersion carried straight into Going Native: WARPATH, which invited players to explore conflict from perspectives that don’t always get center stage. It was a release that encouraged narrative thinking, creative scenarios, and thoughtful play, and it quickly found a home among gamers who love systems that spark storytelling as much as competition. Watching tables come alive with unique warbands and unconventional tactics was a highlight of the year.

Then came the growing family of Combat HQ, which truly defined 2025 for many players. The core Combat HQ system delivered battlefield command in a way that felt intuitive, flexible, and endlessly replayable. It didn’t just ask players to move units—it challenged them to think like commanders, reacting to unfolding situations while terrain, timing, and momentum shaped every decision. That foundation made it possible to expand in exciting directions, and expand we did.

Combat HQ: Total War pushed the system into larger, more ambitious engagements, while Combat HQ: Late War Soviet Battle Groups and Combat HQ: Across the Vistula gave players richly detailed historical toolkits to explore specific forces and theaters. Each release built on the last, offering more depth without sacrificing accessibility. Together, they transformed Combat HQ from a single ruleset into a growing ecosystem, one that rewarded both casual players and dedicated historians.

But 2025 wasn’t just about rules and dice—it was also about style, identity, and celebrating the culture of gaming itself. Our T-shirt collections expanded in bold new directions, giving players more ways to wear their passions proudly. Game-themed designs sat comfortably alongside historical and veteran-themed apparel, while our Vintage Comic collections brought a splash of retro flair with Adventure, Atomic Age, Military, and Science Fiction inspirations. These weren’t just shirts; they were conversation starters, nostalgia triggers, and love letters to the genres that shaped us.

As the year rolled on, we pushed even further into visual storytelling with expanded Graphic Print selections. Matte canvas maps found their way onto walls, bringing strategic beauty and historical atmosphere into hobby rooms and offices alike. Military comic prints added color, drama, and personality, blending classic art styles with themes that resonate deeply with gamers and history enthusiasts. It was incredibly rewarding to see these pieces move from concepts to finished products—and then into the homes of the community.

Just as important as what we released in 2025 was how our community continued to grow. Across Facebook, Instagram, YouTube, TikTok, and LinkedIn, we saw more conversations, more shared photos of games in progress, more thoughtful questions, and more enthusiasm than ever before. Those platforms have become extensions of the tabletop itself—places where ideas are exchanged, victories are celebrated, and the creative energy of the hobby keeps flowing long after the dice are packed away. Building those connections has been one of the most rewarding parts of the past year.

Looking ahead, we’re excited to take that sense of community even further with the launch of a PSG Discord. This will be a shared space for all of our game releases, where players can ask questions, share ideas, coordinate games, swap hobby inspiration, and occasionally jump into conversations with the game designers and creative minds behind Pacific Sky Games. Whether you’re looking for rules clarifications, playtest feedback, or just a place to talk shop with fellow gamers, the Discord is meant to feel like pulling up an extra chair at the table.

While 2025 gave us plenty to celebrate, 2026 is already shaping up to be a year driven by creativity, experimentation, and bold new ideas. Several upcoming titles are currently in development and active playtesting, each representing a different facet of what excites us about tabletop gaming. Direct Action is exploring modern warfare at a scale that emphasizes coordination, timing, and hard tactical choices, offering players a chance to command contemporary forces in fast-moving, high-stakes engagements. Profession of War is taking shape as a 17th Century ruleset, diving into an era of pike, shot, and shifting doctrines where discipline, leadership, and battlefield positioning mattered as much as raw firepower. MerkCo moves firmly into science fiction, placing players in command of one of the warring Houses of the Third Empire of Mankind, where advanced technology, political ambition, and brutal conflict collide on the tabletop. And Pacific Air War continues to soar ahead in development, capturing the drama, danger, and decision-making of aerial combat in the vast skies of the Pacific Theater. Each of these projects is being refined at the table, shaped by playtesters, designers, and the same community that helped make our 2025 releases such a success.

All of this brings us to 2026, standing on a foundation built by creativity, collaboration, and an incredible community. The new year isn’t just about what’s coming next; it’s about carrying forward everything we learned in 2025. The passion for innovative rules, the love of history and storytelling, the celebration of veteran voices, and the joy of blending gameplay with art and culture—those are the threads that will continue to guide Pacific Sky Games.

So here’s to a new year and new releases. Here’s to dice that roll just right, terrain that tells a story, rules that spark imagination, and designs that make you smile the moment you pull them on or hang them up. If 2025 showed us anything, it’s that when creativity meets community, great things happen. And if 2026 is anything like what’s currently on our playtest tables, we’re just getting started.

Stay tuned—this year is going to be something special.
